How do I configure TFTP

If you plan to use hardware SIP phones you may want to enable the tftp server in order to use configuration files. Depending on the distribution, many of these things may already be done. For our PowerPBX distribution you may only need to enable the feature.

nano /etc/xinetd.d/tftp

change
server_args = -s /var/lib/tftpboot
to
server_args = -s /tftpboot

change
disable=yes
to
disable=no

mkdir /tftpboot
chmod 777 /tftpboot
service xinetd restart
